Took a chance on a sample pack since I wasn't sure about decaf espresso, and this Peru Norandino pulled a surprisingly rich crema with a smooth, chocolatey finish. The sample portion was just enough for two proper shots, and I'm impressed it holds its own against the caffeinated stuff.
The flavor is remarkably smooth for a decaf, with none of that watery or burnt aftertaste I usually get. It brewed up nicely in my moka pot and gave me that afternoon coffee ritual without the jitters, which is exactly what I was hoping for.
The sample size is perfect for testing before committing to a full bag, and the decaf process here really holds up in a milk drink. Only wish the bag was a bit larger, but for a trial run it does the job.
