First time trying an Indian coffee and this one surprised me — there's a deep sweetness underneath and almost no bitterness. Ashok Patre's thermal-shock processing seems to bring out a syrupy body that holds up well even black.

The thermal-shock processing really comes through in the cup—there's a bright, almost wine-like fruitiness that I wasn't expecting from an Indian coffee. Brewed it as a pour-over and the sweetness lingered well after each sip.

I’m not usually one to gush over coffee, but this batch from Ratnagiri has a sweetness that lingers long after the cup’s empty. The thermal-shock process must be doing something right, because the acidity is round and mellow — perfect for my morning pour-over.
