Switching from a blade grinder to this was a revelation — the turn-of-the-hopper adjustments actually let me dial in fine steps, and my shots are pulling creamy and syrupy instead of sour or bitter. The included dosing cup is a small thing but I use it every single morning.
I was worried about dialing in espresso without a manual, but the dosing cup alone makes the workflow so much tidier, and the turn-of-the-hopper adjustments are genuinely repeatable shot after shot. Pulled a thick, syrupy ristretto on my very first try with the fine grind setting.
The hopper adjustments are so simple that I dialed in a perfect shot on the first try, and the dosing cup makes the whole workflow mess-free. My espresso comes out thick and syrupy, exactly as described, and it feels solid enough to last years.
