Located in the heart of Ethiopia's Guji region, Shakiso is known for its mining and coffee production. We've initiated the production of a unique all-female-produced coffee sourced from the Shakiso and its surrounding Kebeles. With approximately 30 female producers, this coffee undergoes a special drying prcoess within the fruit, resulting in a balanced cup profile with prominent fruit notes. I was skeptical about the whole all-female-produced angle, but the sourcing story is genuinely interesting. The beans are a medium roast that handles pour-over well, and the 5lb bag lasted me almost a month. Just wish the roast date was printed on the bag.
