The toasted brown rice gives it this nutty, almost popcorn-like warmth that I wasn't expecting from a green tea. Sencha from Kyoto keeps it grassy and clean underneath, so it never feels heavy. Been drinking it every afternoon for a week now.

The toasted rice flavor really comes through, and it's such a comforting change from plain green tea. You can taste that it's real Kyoto sencha underneath the roast. I've been making a pot most evenings.

Steeping this for about two minutes gives a clean sencha base with the toasted rice settling in right behind it. I've been drinking it plain in the afternoon instead of coffee and the roasted, nutty smell alone is worth it.
