The jasmine-like aroma hit me the second I opened the bag, and the first sip tasted even better than that smell promised. This Boquete Valley and Volcan collaboration is easily the smoothest cup I've had in months, with zero bitterness on the finish.
The beans arrived a bit quicker than I expected, and the aroma when I opened the bag was genuinely floral and bright. Brewed a pour-over and it carried that delicate, tea-like body all the way through, though I wished the finish lingered just a touch longer.
The tasting notes are exactly what you'd expect from a Boquete Valley Gesha—bright and floral without being overpowering. I did think the beans were a touch on the darker side for my usual preference, but the sweetness it brought out more than made up for it.
